HOW DID IT START?  The Church was established at the end of the 19th century, to serve the railway workers of Crewe. Although our origins go back over 100 years, we are a forward looking church, seeking to cater for the needs of the 21st century.

SO WHAT HAPPENS ON SUNDAYSOur style of worship is fairly relaxed, with a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs, accompanied by pipe organ, guitar or music group. Services last about an hour, with the children and young people leaving part way through, to join their own groups. Active participation is encouraged and services can be quite lively, especially when it's a parade service. Time is set aside for prayer and reflection, and there is always a sermon/address. All services are followed by refreshments, usually served in the rooms behind.

Building Development Fund Appeal.
To improve access to the Church and rooms used by the local community, we plan to start on phase 4a of our building development plan in April. Unfortunately, we find that we are short of the amount required to start work due to an announcement in the budget to make vat payable on improvements to listed buildings. This is very disappointing as we are very keen to make our building more welcoming to all that come to Union Street.

On the basis that "if you don't ask, you don't get" we ask all our friends if they would be able to contribute anything to our building fund!
Please click on our "Donate" page for details on how you can contribute.
With your help we can move forward in faith and welcome all that come to Union Street in comfort and safety.

You may also wish to sign up to an e-petition asking the chancellor to reconsider the recent changes to the vat rules, which so adversely affect us and many others who wish to improve their premises for use in the community.
